Intern Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $1,000 | Application deadline: November 10th, 2009
Criteria:
Open to all in-state or out-of-state rising juniors and non US permanent residents with a valid green card. Must be currently enrolled in any accredited College or University in the five (5) South Hampton Roads Cities of Virginia (Norfolk, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake or Suffolk).
Overall 3.0 GPA (official transcript through sophomore year)
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Copy of green card will be required)
Terms of Scholarship:
Student must successfully complete all of the following:
1. Scholarship application
2. Application interview
3. (1) 200 hour internship with a member business during the spring semester and (1) 100 hour internship with RBL, totalling 300 hours. The student must also be in compliance with the Mentoring/Scholarship handbook for the duration of each internship.
$1,000 scholarship will be awarded to up to five (5) chosen applicants. Roundtable of
Business Leaders (RBL) will release the award check to the recipients' chosen education
institution prior to first semester of the students senior year.
